Keeping a positive attitude…
…while the world around you disintegrates. It’s not an easy thing to do, keeping your attitude positive and your spirits up, especially in an InfoTech position. There are times you really just want to pull out the ol’ rubber chicken and go upside someone’s head, and you can’t. A shame, because some people really REALLY deserve it.
I explained to someone today about the Universal Law of Reciprocation — I did something nice for them, and they asked what I wanted in return. As I explained, “There will come a time in your life when you’re going to be in a position to help someone else out when they really need it. Remember this event, and help them out. Don’t let it end with you.”
Isn’t that the way things should be, in an ideal situation anyway? You help out someone and it is passed on?
I remember, years ago, when I was first learning about computers. I had a mentor, from whom I learned far more than I could ever have hoped to on my own. When I said, “I don’t know how I can ever repay you,” I was told the Universal Law of Reciprocation. While I haven’t always been able to apply it as I should, there are those eye-opening moments of clarity when I have made sure that I did.
Pass the good on in your life. You’ll be surprised how much you end up receiving in return from the “universe at large”.

have you ever watched “The Secret” ?
April 9th, 2007 at 1:19 pmNo, can’t say I have. Anything like “Pay it Forward” in message?
April 9th, 2007 at 2:18 pm“The Secret” is essentially prosperity gospel schmaltz covered with saccharine and a healthy dose of “The Power of Positive Thinking.” Oprah likes it, so it’s all the rage now.
April 9th, 2007 at 4:48 pmSounds like someone’s a bit too jaded for their own good. There’s nothing wrong with having a positive attitude and passing it on to others, IMHO.
