Ramblings of Silver Blue

Sorry for the lack of posts yesterday — I was off visiting a friend (Picture Lady) who went through a major surgery a short time ago. It was a WONDERFUL day, that we spent catching up with each other (I was able to introduce her to the City Grill in Great Bridge (thanks to Molly’s Mama for taking me there originally)) and we played games. “Upwards” by Milton Bradley, and a really fast paced, fun dice game called Zilch (a quick Google of the term “Zilch Dice Game” shows many variations of the game). I sense a trip to the Dollar Store today to get dice!

Haven’t heard back from Neil to hear if he’s actually coming down this direction this weekend. Hope so, because at least this way he would get to see the craziness that is me, Platinum.

This morning, I know I’m going to have to cut Hell’s Half Acre™, but I went out about 40 minutes ago and the grass was still too wet to do it. (We had several bands of massive thunderstorms come through last night (Yep, Roxette Bunny™ was zooming from window to window enjoying every minute of the “Light Show” — as only she can call it) so I’m waiting for the sun to dry things out without it getting too hot outside.

On the way to dinner last night, a phone call came in about PR’s mother. It seems that after dinner last night she tripped and fell on the front porch of the assisted living center where she now resides. They ended up taking her to the ER, where x-rays showed that it was just a sprain and not a break (thank heavens for small miracles).

PR and I were going to try to go up to Busch Gardens this weekend and have a little R&R, but you know how things go. I shouldn’t be this way, probably, but I am.

So, I’m not sure what today will hold, or the rest of the weekend. I was able to sit down this morning and revamp the Memorial Day multimedia presentation for church. Finally, I’m happy with the way it is.
