Fritz answered, and asked.

Fritz answered the musical Tuesday Ten™ with some of his own.

1. How can you mend a broken heart?
(Bee Gees) I may get weary. Women do get weary. Wearing the same shabby dress. But to one who’s weary. Try a little tenderness. Michael Buble, “Try A Little Tenderness”

2. Where would I be without IBM?
(Information Society) Here in my car. I feel safest of all. I can lock all my doors. It’s the only way to live. Gary Numan, “Cars”

3. How can I be sure?
(The Young Rascals) Baby why you wanna waste your time on just a pretty face? She changes guys with the mood of the day. Save yourself a heartache. Take a look. I’m waiting in the wings. A good long look ’cause what you got comin’ is a sure thing. LeeAnn Rimes, “Sure Thing”

4. Who can I turn to if you turn away?
(Dusty Springfield) Turn to me — when your heart breaks away. Turn to me — don’t turn me away. When everything’s sad and down. When you’re looking for somewhere to run. Why don’t you turn to me? Turn to me. Roxette, “Turn To Me” — This one freaked me out when I read it — I love the “Pearls Of Passion” reissue!

5. Who’s that girl running around with you?
(Eurythmics) She sings from somewhere you can’t see. She sits in the top of a greenhouse tree. She sends out an aroma of unrefined love. It drips on down in a mist from above. She’s just the girl. She’s just the girl. The girl you want. Bush, “Girl You Want.”

6. What’s love got to do with it?
(Tina Turner) I love you like a ball and chain. (Make it alright now.) Love you like a ball and chain. (Feels too good.) I’m a fool I know but I’m stuck on you. I’m a fool I know and it’s makin’ me blue. Eurythmics, “I Love You Like A Ball and Chain”

7. What’s new pussycat?
(Tom Jones) You say you’ll change the constitution. Well, you know we all want to change your head. You tell me it’s the institution. Well, you know you better free your mind instead. The Beatles, “Revolution”

8. Do you really want to hurt me?
(Culture Club) Sometimes you’re better off dead. There’s gun in your hand and it’s pointing at your head.Pet Shop Boys, “West End Girls”

9. How long?
(Lionel Richie) Even though we might be having a few doubts. Let’s take the time and try to work things out. The little things we fuss and fight about ain’t gonna matter 100 years from now. Huey Lewis & The News, “100 Years From Now” (And actually the song title I was thinking of was by Eurythmics as well (from the “We Too Are One” album), but this is correct as well.)

10. Ask me something.
Can you name the artists of the songs my answers come from? Yes, and I did it without help!

One Response to “Fritz answered, and asked.”

  1. 1
    Fritz Says:

I just wanted to mix it up a bit with Lionel Richie.

The only one I had to Google was the Young Rascals song. This was a fun one!
