Remember

…the other day, when I was ranting about the performer who never did publicity, even though they had a publicist, etc.? How would you feel if your last five emails to their staff, in regards to their website, went unanswered? If you’re like me, you’d be pissed. You’d be counting down the time to you […]

Blessed are the STUPID

for they shall find Employment at CHK. I swear. We move into our building TWO years ago. You haven’t used the room since. All of a sudden you expect to put a professor in that room, using a PC that hasn’t had any updates in 2 years, and expect it to function? You mean you […]

No rest for the weary

In a way, I’m glad I’m animal sitting instead of going to choir this evening. I’m thoroughly exuasted (the events of this week was warn me plum out) and I think it’ll be nice to just get some rest for once. Yay me!

Just A Question

if you live in Amerca, and are an American Citizen, at what point can I start firing bricks at someone for being a blatent pacifist? Oh, we can’t celebrate Memorial Day with images of fallen soldiers, becuase that glorifies war. Independence Day cannot show warships, planes, sub, etc. because their purpose is just evil. As […]

The “Short” Obituary

Surrounded by family and loved ones, DOROTHY ELIZABETH NEMETH BARKER 72, departed her home in Chesapeake, Ohio for her “Mansion Just Over the Hilltop”, Tuesday, June 29, 2004. She was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years and 8 months, Forester Barker Sr. in 1992 and two sons, Randy in 1961 and Ernie […]

Things that make the stomach

…turn. I do a lot with my position. I enjoy it, however, I learned something that made my stomach turn today. I make $33K a year to be in charge of 120 machines, installs, trouble shooting, web design, etc. Other universities are paying just their HELP DESK people $36 a year. These people don’t make […]

Morning post

Sorry guys, I’m bummed today with Grandma passing away. Amuse yourself with these jokes. Two guys were discussing popular family trends on sex, marriage, and values. Stu said, “I didn’t sleep with my wife before we got married, did you?” Leroy replied, “I’m not sure, What was her maiden name?” ——————————————————– A little boy went […]

She’s In God’s Care Now

Thanks to everyone for your prayers of passage for my grandmother, who left this world into God’s loving care at 1:08 this morning. Her suffering is at an end. We don’t know God’s plan for us, but He does. We miss you, Maw, but are glad you are in a better place.

Final Thought

I’ve got a few things I’d like to post, but I’m tired, so I’m going to go to bed instead of posting them. Nite!

Clueless

Some people, I’ve come to the realization, are just clueless. The don’t see themselves in posted material, they don’t hear themselves in conversations, they don’t conceive that they’re the subject of conversations. It’s times like that that you wish you had an endless supply of clue phones that you could pass out and whap people […]

Women are apples…

…men are a fine wine. Women are like apples on trees: the best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men don’t want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren’t as good, but […]

It makes sense

If you just stop and think about it.

Hoax warning!!

I hate hoax warnings, but this one is important. Please send this to everyone on your email list. If a man comes to your front door and says he is conducting a survey and asks you to show him your ass, DO NOT show him your ass. This is a scam; he only wants to […]

Listen up

I don’t particularly care if you didn’t teach in the beginning of the summer session, but because you didn’t check your email and Computing Services changed FTP protocols, etc., that does NOT constitute an emergency on my part because “you teach today and can’t access the FTP server.” You were alerted to this problem more […]

When it just doesn’t pay

you can’t beat a dead horse (well, you can, but it does no good), and you can’t make someone do publicity, even if they’re a performer. As some of you know, I do websites for part of my living. I enjoy doing them, but when you get no feedback or information from the siteholder, it’s […]

Holding Pattern

Grandma quit breathing three times yesterday, her blood sugar is down to 30, and she’s refused to go with the EMS. She wants to die at home. It made for a sleepless night. I’m at work today to try to get mind mind off things. Anyone know any good jokes?

Dammit.

I’m over at the ‘rents with a migraine, and I realized that I’m pissed off. Why? Because, since March of this year, PoloRandy hasn’t been able to go to the Flea Market in Portsmouth because either basketball obligations or because of having to take care of his parent’s yard. We had made plans on going […]

Let’s hear it for…

…the underdog. Let’s not talk about my youth. Better yet, let’s do. I was NOT a popular child. I was teased, called a “queer”, a “sissy”, and a “fag”. I was never asked to join the more popular kids at their parties they threw, I was normally the last selected for volleyball, dodgeball, etc. But […]

Where to begin

on a Sunday morning that probably won’t know where to end. Still house sitting for the ‘rents. That’s ok, even with taking care of the sausage on the hoof. (yes, for those reader who don’t know, my mother, 10 years ago, got one of those “cute, adorable” Vietnamese Pot-Bellied Pigs.” 10 years latter, it’s not […]

Quiet Day

Ran some errands, did a little shopping for food, and now am going to be working on the cookbook for this year’s Christmas party!

Something to be thankful for

DramaQueen’s sis made it through brain tumour surgery ok. We’ll keep those healing thoughts, prayers and wishes coming your family’s way!

Hope it’s nothing serious

but over that The Truth Laid Bear, both the eco system and blogroll (and his site) have been down for a couple days. Come back, NZ Bear! (Speaking of returns, COME BACK FRITZ & FRANK!)

She’s at home

My grandma was discharged today and is at home, resting. Fortunately, the CD I ordered made it there at 6:39 this evening. The family’s together, even if only in spirit. Love you, Maw.
