Well…half the outside is now complete. PoloRandy and I ran edging, mulched, created a small stone patio, and installed a set of outside patio lights. It’s been a long, tiring day. I think it’s time to head to Fuddruckers for a hamburger, since it’s thundering outside and I’m not cooking out. Good news, however, was [...]

First off, a t-shirt I’ve been holding in reserve, but now is making it’s rounds, so I’d better hurry and post it: Next: I was wondering what people were complaining about with the latest Michael LaToya Janet Jackson album (or just “Janet” as she prefers to be called now.) Well, I remember picking up “Damita [...]

I’m all for revitalization. Meaning as: take a blighted area, or a run down area of town, and renovate, revitalize, renew, reuse, recycle. You get the drift. But when can this be taken too far? Well, I’ve never been a fan of mobile home parks. But they serve a purpose. They provide people a lower [...]

After Church today (more on that in a minute), PoloRandy and I, in the rain, decided it would be a good day for retail therapy, so off to the Williamsburg Outlets we went. PoloRandy got some new clothes, I picked up two pounds of Orange Seville (also known as Orange Brandy) Coffee, and then we [...]

Let’s face it. Yard work and I just do not agree. Ever. I’m much more at home behind a keyboard. But, since I have this property, I need to take care of it, right? Right. So yesterday, PoloRandy and I did more yard work than I thought we did. We took out 6 mulberry trees, [...]

We got rid of several large bushes, one pecan tree (that fell during Hurricane Isabel, but couldn’t be reached) and pruned back a number of crepe myrtle trees. The place keeps looking better and better.

There’s a student at CHK who is obviously older than I am (I’m 35); if not, she’s had a hard row to hoe, and time has not been kind to her. I mention that she’s caucasian becuase it’s pertinant to the story. Anyway, I was in adjusting some printer settings on her PC when her [...]

as to why I ended up hating MT near the end. A couple spammers hit the old blog last night and … REBUILDS TAKE FOREVER. Guess I’ve been spoiled with WP for the past couple of weeks. With the exception of last weekend’s upgrade fiasco, everything ahs gone like water off a duck’s back.

This, being Memorial Day weekend in the United States, means that I should say to everyone: Drive carefully; don’t drink and drive! The life you save may be mine. Celebrate responsibly.

to put together a listing of, say, my top 50 oldies and my top 50 remixes, with sound clips, but you know something? I don’t think I will. I brought back the Top 10 after almost a two month hiatus, and other than one person who, previously on my MT blog, said he enjoyed actually [...]

I tend to put people on my blogroll for a reciprocal purpose. I link to you, you link to me. I recently had someone ask for a link, stating they would give one back. To date, that hasn’t happened. If it hasn’t happened by the end of the weekend, off the rolls they go.

The sheriff of a small town was also the town’s animal Vet. One night the phone rang, and his wife answered. An agitated voice inquired, “Is your husband there?” “Do you require his services as a sheriff or as a vet?” the wife asked. “Both!” was the reply. “We can’t get our dog’s mouth open, [...]

…much today. I was at PoloRandy’s office, taking care of major computer issues. Ever feel that people should not be issued computers if they don’t know how to use them? Four printers broken (2 fully fixed, power supply ordered for one, and the person who originally installed the 4th took off with all the documentation, [...]
