Friday Link-Luv™

Not as much as it should be, however… Punchbuggy does a PSA brought to you by: The Society of Friends Who are Trying to Suck Up Because They Missed Birthday Parties. Revog is busy tackling home improvement. Roxette Bunny™ is a little depressed. Seems that no one has asked her anything and she’s feeling unneeded. […]

Dinner was…

…good. We dined at Romano’s Macaroni Grille, and, while it took over 2 hours, the food was fresh and reasonably priced. I tink Tink’s in a good mood. At least I think she should be. ๐Ÿ™‚

CHRISTIAN ONE LINERS

“Don’t let your worries get the best of you, remember, Moses started out as a basket case” Some people are kind, polite, and sweet-spirited – until you try to sit in their pews. Many folks want to serve God, but only as advisers. It is easier to preach ten sermons than it is to live […]

Off to dinner with the Tink

As directed by ASV

Michele says this. 1. Grab the nearest CD. 2. Put it in your CD-Player (or start your mp3-player, I-tunes, etc.). 3. Skip to Song 3 (or load the 3rd song in your 3rd playlist) 4. Post the first verse in your journal along with these instructions. Don’t name the band, nor the album-title. There’s a […]

Why Consolidation Is A Bad Thing

When I worked for Thomas G. Krattenmaker*, then Dean of the Marshall-Wythe School of Law, Dean Krattenmaker wrote an update to his casebook, “Telecommunications Law And Policy” to include the Telecommuncations Act of 1996. One of the things the Telecom Act did was relax the ownership regulations on radio and television stations. I recall having […]

Yet Another Rant

I forgot to post this one from when Tink, Revog, Unix Man, PoloRandy and I went to the Smithsonian. Now, I don’t quite understand what they are planning for with all the metal detectors and such that they have in all the buildings now (what, you’re going to hijack the stuffed elephant? The hell you […]

Don’t Give Up, so let it find you

I’ve decided something, in regards to those people who are sending me hate mail: SCREW YOU, BUTTNUGGETS As Punchbuggy said, and PoloRandy, and Tink, and others, if I stop blogging because of hate mail, the hatemongers win. That is NOT my intention. I’m here, I have a voice, I have beliefs, and dammit, I enjoy […]

Today will end, and so will the blog

I’ve enjoyed, for the most part, blogging over the past year. Here recently, however, I’ve had personal emails (not comments left on the blog, but emails) personally attacking my stance on just about everything, from homosexuality, to the possibility of government mishandling of 9/11. I’ve got rather thick skin, but it’s getting old. One person […]

Gotta Love The Onion

Stolen From http://www.theonion.com/opinion/index.php?issue=4017 Esteemed members of the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks upon the United States, good afternoon. As National Security Advisor, my job is to coordinate the efforts of America’s intelligence and defense agencies and report directly to the president. I was, and continue to be, in a unique position to understand the threats […]

Together Again

She married and had 13 children. Her husband died. She married again and had 7 more children. Again, her husband died. But, she remarried and this time had 5 more children. Alas, SHE finally died. Standing before her coffin, the preacher prayed for her. He thanked the Lord for this very loving woman and said, […]

Thought For The Day

“While we have the gift of life, it seems to me the only tragedy is to allow part of us to die — whether it is our spirit, our creativity, or our glorious uniqueness.” — Gilda Radner

Good Morning

Not too much going on here. I seem to have a case of Beal that is colouring my world right now, and my blog. Beal, you say? See Here. And Here. I’m not happy in a couple areas of my life, but I go through this every April/May of EVERY year (you can almost set […]

I’m going to lose it. (Maybe I have)

Ok, we use something called an ELMO in our mediated rooms, and trust me, it’s not a red muppet, and they don’t come cheap. We have a speaker coming, and giving a presentation off campus. First off, it’s bad enough that they sent their presentation in something other than PowerPoint, but normally we can deal. […]
