Weekend Wrapup

Posted in Here at 7:22 pm by Think-Tink

Where did my voice go and is it having fun?

It really needs to rain.

My fingers are blue. I do like tie dye though.

I am gaining a better appreciation for the Grate Steak. I am even beginning to grill my steak to where I want it. (For those not in the Hampton Roads area, Grate Steak is a steak place that lets you grill your own steak. Big huge charcoal grill, will all the accessories)

I really need to find a sinus thing that doesn’t wire me or make me drowsy. This is getting irritating.

Bon Jovi Unplugged was really good last night. I can’t wait for the extra 30 minutes that will be on CMT tonight. I hope I can stay awake to see it.

June has a week left. Where does the time go?

Crash has a wonderfully grown up hair cut now.

For those who are wondering… FTANDPD means faith, trust, and pixie dust. It is from Return to Neverland, Peter Pan 2. It is my email signature.

what do you think that means? It is going to be my new license plate. If you get emails from me, you should be able to figure out.

Vacation Thoughts Part 3 and weekend wrap up

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:11 pm by Think-Tink

Ok, so this last trip wasn’t a vacation, but it was sure close to one.

Philadelphia is a nice city. People there aren’t as friendly about talking to strangers.

I am glad I don’t there. They are maniacs! The shuttle driver today was pretty darn scary.

The Hampton Roads area needs a place or 2 like the Reading Terminal Market. Real fish mongers, burchers, cheese people etc. I wouldn’t need to use grocery stores or big boxes for much.

I think I might be allergic to beer. I got all stuffed up and such after drinking 2.

Rigatoni D at Maggiano’s Little Italy was excellent.

If I lived in Philly, I probably would not own a car.

An hour long flight is just enough for a decent nap.

If you are departing at the Philly airport, make sure of what terminal you need.

If you have the chance, go see the King Tut exhibit. No sarcophogus, but plenty of other pieces worth seeing.

I didn’t find cheesecake.

Williamsburg and Genessee Country Museum are more impressive than the historic area of Philly for me. I guess that is because it seems more realistic and isn’t in the middle of very modern buildings, including the visitors center.

It was weird seeing an old ornate building with Kmart or Ross’ Dress for Less on it.

8 blocks on a map is longer in real life.

I paid attention to portion size but not fat and such and lost 1.2 lbs.

Shoot I forgot to change around my laundry.

I also forgot to mail Daddy’s Father’s Day card.

I have not been home a weekend in June so far, my room shows it.

No hives this time, just horrendous sinus headache.

Back to real life now…

Packing Again!!

Posted in Uncategorized at 8:50 pm by Think-Tink

I am off to Philadelphia tomorrow. This time for a conference. Should be good. First class all the way and CHK only has to pay my registration and per diem! (If CHK were paying, believe me, I would be lucky to eat and stay in a Motel 6)

Should be fun and I have all afternoon Saturday to explore. The Deen Brothers did Road Tasted Philadelphia and I defintely want to find Campos for a cheesesteak. I will not be like SB and try to eat my weight in cheesesteaks.

Vacation Thoughts Part 2

Posted in Uncategorized at 9:48 pm by Think-Tink

Revog thinks I should move to Rochester…no after becoming allergic to something up there, aint happening!

Itchiness and traveling are a bad combination.

There is no such think as a quick trip to Wal-Mart or Jo-Ann’s for us.

Bed sheets are inexpensive ways to get fabric for quilt making.

Work can be a scary place after a week off.

Benadryl is a wonderful thing. Although somehow taking 4-5 like Revog’s momma suggested to get a “good” dose into me does not sound appealing.

Princesses on the walls are ok at 6, but at 39 they got old after a while.

The Chevy Equinox is a nice riding vehicle. Not a SUV really, but not really a station wagon either. Lots of space and the window controls are in the center console. Wonder if GH’s massage table would fit into it.

It sounds like everywhere was having weird weather.

I forgot to have Revog take a good picture of me, Celtic Mama is going to be mad.

My back and arm still itch.

I didn’t see it on the news, but what the heck happened Friday that it screwed up all the flights on Saturday? I had to completely change everything once I was at the airport. I flew into a different connecting city and a different final airport.

I wore only 2 pairs of shoes all week.

Revog is raising 2 very nice girls (most of the time). They are as different as night and day, but I think they will have their acts together when they are older.

It was different having a man around this time. TurboTech was a good sport for most of it though. He is very good for Revog.

Not my fault! Not my fault!

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:42 pm by Roxette Bunny

Roxette Bunny™ here. I’ve been wanting to post, but I can’t turn on these laptops (if they’d leave them OPEN then yes, but my paws can’t push the latch and pull the screen up), and Silver Blue’s had his computer unhooked all week (as well as the network cable to Tink’s PC), so thankfully I see that Tink was able to do a little posting on her own. Yay!

I have to admit, I REALLY approve of the changes PR and SB have made to SB’s room; the blue matches my fur perfectly.

It looks like Tink’s been having loads of fun whlie up at Revog’s. Hopefully she’ll bring back lots of photos. Possibly some things to munch on as well.

Anyway, I give you much Bunny-Luv!

Vacation Thoughts Part 1

Revog is mean and a tease. She feeds me junk and then expects me to work out. This is called a vacation for a reason!

Gennesee County Museum is a cool place. Kind of like Williamsburg but late 1700′s to 1800′s. If some of my pictures turn out, I will try to post them.

Chaperoning was fun, we had a really good group of kids.

We are becoming a generic country. Yes there still are places that make each part of the country unique, but you can find IHOP, Applebee’s etc everywhere.

Cool bookstores can change and become uncool.

Stuffed french toast is good, but I don’t want to think of the calories or fat grams involved.

Silicon baking things aren’t all they are billed to be.

William Shatner’s roast on Comedy Central was awful.

Music and Lyrics was a cute movie. Make sure you watch all the way to the end and read the pop-ups in the video.

Almost time to go!

I am hoping Revog isn’t up yet, but I am packed, cleaned up and ready to go. I will be in Rochester for the next week. Roxette Bunny has graciously agreed to post for me while I am gone. I might be able to slip in a post here or there too.

I hope isn’t but so cool at night up there as I am only bringing a sweat shirt with me. I figure I can borrow whatever else I need from Revog.

Fat and water

Posted in Uncategorized at 7:13 pm by Think-Tink

Apparently I am mostly fat and water. SB got a new scale today that shows body fat and hydration. I don’t understand how it can do this without blood but it says it can. 30 some percent water and 40 some percent fat is what it said…how depressing
