The Weenies were out tonight

I am not usually a scrooge type but I seem to be at Halloween.I just can’t give perfectly good chocolate (is there any other type of candy?) away.  From there, SB turns off the porch lights.  I STILL had 3 sets of kids ring the doorbell.  One set knocked after ringing the doorbell, to the point where I finally opened the door and said I am not participating.  I wonder if they had to ask their parents what participating means?

Friday Thoughts

Posted in Here at 11:53 pm by Think-Tink

Why is there always one window that rattles, no matter what you do to it?

How does the stuff at the end of my bed accumulate into so much so quickly?

Someone needs to create a fitted sheet that is easy to put on.

If there are all these wonderful spam blockers out there, why do I still get a ton of spam?

I can feel the effects if I don’t drink enough water.

The roses don’t know that they aren’t supposed to bloom the end of October.

My closet ate a shoe.  Not the pair, just one of them.

Glad the guys didn’t do Masquerade in Ghent tonight.

Just for Revog…

An update.  Goodness, life has been busy.  Thanks to Ms. Bunny for guest blogging for me.

Atlanta was nice.  The memorial services for my family who have died over the past 2 years + was very touching.  I will say if you are in the Georgia area and have a person who was military pass on, the Georgia National Cemetary is a perfect place for their final physical resting place.  Apparently, it was donated to the US for the purpose.  It is a mountain top with a view of the surrounding area.

Celtic Mama and I did what we seem to do best, wander and shop.  We didn’t get but so lost.

The Stone Mountain Games were kind of a disappointment to us both.  I guess we are used to there being lots of people and lots of space.  Stone Mountain had the lots of people but not the lots of space.  We were there by 10:30 am and had trouble finding a parking spot.  Somewhere there was another lot and a shuttle.  We never did figure out where that was.  We did learn something really interesting.  We were both under the impression that MAC was Scottish and MC was Irish.  Apparently, that is not the case.  MAC and MC were used interchangably by the Scots.

The Airtran Terminal at the Atlanta Airport has gotten smart finally.  Rather than a line that went forever, they made a luggage check in line for those of us who had already checked in.  We were baggage checked in under half an hour.

I knew I was coming back to alot of work.  I just didn’t realize how much.  I am still not caught up.  Normally I am caught up in a day, 2 max.

Anime Man is wonderful, he is being patient and understanding with all that is going on right now.

I promised to guest blog…

Posted in Uncategorized at 3:29 pm by Roxette Bunny

…but I decided not to get everyone’s hopes up that we’d have dialy blogging — after all, when Tink returns (as she will in a few short days), it’s back to blogging on HER schedule. Which, since it’s her blog, is the way it should be.

If you want daily insanity, you could always hop over to Silver Blue’s. I’ve whapped him with a plastic carrot for letting the regular supply of fresh carrots deplete.

Anyway, I’m going to hop back in the wagon and get out of here for a while. The air is crisp outside, and I think I could use some sunshine.

Much bunny love to you all!

Time flies

Whew, made it through a weekend with very much ups and downs.  Piper Dude found a college to go to.  Gh and I took him to Fredericksburg and Harrisonburg to look at schools.  That was the up, the down was a pothole that flattened 2 tires on me.  Luckily, Lord and Lady were watching over me and both tires and rims were repairable.

I am now off to Atlanta to see Celtic Mama.  When this trip was planned, we were just going to go to the Stone Mountain Highland Games.  Now, unfortunately, I am going to bury my great aunt, uncle, and 2 cousins.  They all died at different times, were cremated and waiting for this cematary to open.  The funerals were in the planning stage when my great aunt died.

The great bunny says she will guest blog for me on occasion.  I’ll be back in a week.

Sorry, I havent forgotten you all

Just between being sick, the planning to go down to Celtic Mama’s for a visit and funerals, there just hasn’t been alot of time.

Life is going on, and everyone is making me the monkey for being sick…

Goodness, lots to say

Posted in Uncategorized at 10:03 am by Think-Tink

Hopefully I will have the energy to say it all.  Celtic Mama is doing ok now after her aunt passing on.  I am going down in a few weeks so that should help.

My reuion was fun, I saw some of the people I wanted to see.  It reminded me that people don’t change that much.  The people who drank, still drank, the clicks were still there, and I can say I went and really don’t need to go to another one.

My dad met Anime Man, said he was “not bad”.

I have come back with a terrible cold.  I even have a fever which I havent had in quite a while.  I don’t know what it is but Anime Man was down with it yesterday.
