Is there a full moon? All of the weirdos were out in force today.

SB went disaster style this week.

1. What was the worst natural disaster you’ve been in?
Hurricane Isabel that I can remember.
2. Do you have a disaster preparedness kit and plan?
Not really, but I do have things in case of emergency
3. Flash Fire, Flooding, Blizzard, Tornado, Earthquake, Hurricane … which would you least like to experience, and why?
Fire..I have always had a strange fascination with it
4. Are natural disasters getting more powerful?
No, reporting is making th eworld smaller. There have always been major natural disasters.
5. It’s said that those who refused/failed to evacuate from the oncoming path did so because they would be leaving “all they had.” Do you relate?
Yes, hearth and home so to speak are sometimes all that we can truly identify as ours.
6. Are we, as a people, doing enough to be disaster ready?
No.
7. Global warming. Cause for weather change or scientific bru-haha?
Yes
8. Discovery Channel has been running specials on “when the big one hits”. Do you feel this is reality, or just paranoia run rampant?
Anything can happen when Mother Nature is involved.
9. Why don’t we hear of Europe being battered by natural disasters like we do the Far East and America?
Less climate changes?

Rain and more rain
We are supposed to have between 3-5 inches of rain in the next few days. A front is coming through and then we get remnants of ERnesto. This should be fun. SB has all of the pumps ready to go.

Coming up for air for a moment
Whew, last week and this week are the nightmare weeks at work. I have basically been coming home or going to Anime Man’s and vegetating. I haven’t been good for much else.
I was being optimisitic this weekend and went to the used book store. It is wonderful to be able to trade my books in and get new books basically free to me. It will last me a while now.
I took a major step for me. I spent Saturday night at Anime Man’s. I normally don’t like sleeping around other people because I have been told I snore, at times loudly. Anime Man didn’t seem to mind if I did snore. It is mostly a self conscious thing, but it’s something I have to overcome.
I didn’t accomplish much this weekend, but it was nice to just wander with SB or Anime Man. I am jealous of REvog though. She went to the Hershey REn Faire and didn’t tell me until today!

I got to see the sun today!
In an office with no windows, making an effort to get outside during the day can get in the way. This is the week before classes and I cant wait for next week to be over. Labor day here I come.
I am thankful that Anime Man is very understanding. I fell asleep on him last night, literally. Heck day is Friday, with a full day and then orientation.

Off for a fun day!
Shopping with Bridges and then Busch Gardens with GH’s family for her birthday. She says she is 25 today…
I was trying to talk SB into being a heathen also but he needs to be at church today.
Witha and her baby are home now. He is so adorable! I hope I don’t lose my sanity over the next 2 weeks. This fun of the day is my last bit of relaxation before the major work starts this week.
A Christmas present done!
I finished GG’s afghan last night mostly. I just need to put a binding on it and it is done! Now onto DG’s… I wonder if Revog will help me with the bindings when I go up there in November (assuming she still wants me to come up…). DG’s afghan is going to take a little longer as I am using a smaller hook and one thread of yarn rather than 2.
Now my issue is starting to be what do I get everyone else? I have no clue for Anime Man, SB, Celtic Mama and most everyone else. Errggg.

Welcome to the newest MBA member, he was born last night! Congrats Witha and Hubby!
How can a lightweight chair cause so much damage? My whole foot is black and blue.
Ahh, no phones are ringing here and no emails popping up every 5 seconds.
I need more shoes! I have basically 2 pairs I can wear and not have it hurt.
Battle of the military vs. cleaning staff happens tomorrow. Military will have to watch themselves to win this one.
Homemade vanilla ice cream is yummy! (Thanks SB!)
Candles and cloth napkins will never be the same for me. Anime Man went to such effort last night for dinner. I don’t think I have really had anyone do that before for me.

Be warned!
It is now nightmare time at work. less than 2 weeks until the Fall semester starts. By the end of next week, I will never want to hear a phone ring again or see I have new email. The point I am trying to make is blogging will probably be light or incoherent for a little while.
Baby watch is in effect, I think Witha’s boy has dropped some.
I am hoping Anime Man doesn’t have any major walking plans for tomorrow night. I jammed my little toe today and it has finally quit throbbing. I have no clue as to what shoes will be wearable tomorrow. Thank goodness I can wear jeans and sneakers.

Is orange a dark or a light?
I was doing laundry today and this question came to mind after my 2nd load came out of the dryer. It seems orange shirts wound up in with both the lights and the darks.
