MR had informed me that Cap’n Crunch was on sale Buy One Get One, at Harris Teeter. I had a $.50 coupon. Harris Teeter doubles it’s coupons. So for $2.36, I got 2 big boxes of cereal.
Silly question here, but is wheat on strike too? Why are cereal prices so high?

I went over to Va. Beach to visit with Blondie and turned out to be some of her friends also. So we didn’t get to talk at all. Ruby Tuesday was good but expensive in my mind. I guess I don’t get out that much anymore.
Why this is under traffic is the traffic today was horrendous. One the way to Va. Beach, on 64, there was an accident spread across the right hand shoulder and far right lane and then the HOV exit ramp and the left hand shoulder. It took 10 minutes to traverse what should have taken 3. It looked like one car hydroplaned, spun around and as it was spinning pushed in the side of the other car. It was raining at the time, but not badly. Looks like someone wasn’t paying enough attention.
After some deals at Walmart (intimates and socks are at REALLY good prices), I started to go to Ruby Tuesday to meet Blondie. AS I did, it starts to downpour. It was starting to cause some flodding and everything. In my little car, that can add up to lots of fun deciding how deep puddles are.
I finally get to be on my way home, and call to find out how the tunnels are doing. 5 mile back ups at both, eesh. One had a lane closed for maintenance. Real smart there, this area is a tourist heaven, so we are going to close a lane on one of the few ways to get out of the area… The other, I am not sure why it was backed up, but it was.

MR and I went to the Va. Aquarium (aka Va. Marine Science Museum) today. The thing that both of us came away with was that the 2 museums are very similar. Alot of the exhibits were along the same lines and highlighted the same fish. You would think they would want to make things different enough so that people would want to visit both.
It was a good day, nice and relaxing. MR met Gym Mom. I saw where she runs bingo for her gymnastics parent group. I couldnt work there as the smoke would have me sick. Neither ran screqaming form each other, so I take that as a good sign.
Blondie is in town tomorrow. I don’t think MR is ready to meet her yet. I think that is a pleasure to wait for October when Revog, her children, her boyfriend, MR and I are down in Florida.

At about 4 yesterday, Mr. Roboto and I decided he should come over to my place. This brought on the question of what to do for dinner. I knew we had chicken, I asked MR to bring over broccoli and the carrots I had taken over there for a salad. A nice stir fry was made from rice, chicken, broccoli, green onions, and carrots. Paul Newman’s Sesame Ginger salad dressing was just perfect as a marinade and sauce.
Chicken and broccoli are very versatile. Add pasta and a jar of alfredo sauce and you have a good pasta dish. I found lots of other recipes online with those 2 ngredients as the starting points.

I know most of the country is feeling the heat we are feeling, but this is ridiculous. To make it even worse, a fuse blew last night on our transformer and blew the transformer. The fuse flew about an acre. It was 2am last night when we got our power back.
I now think I am spoiled. Trying to sleep with the windows open and absolutely no breeze was miserable. I also did not realize how noisy “quiet” can be. I know I didn’t have air conditioning as a kid, and I wonder how we did it. I know we didn’t have it because I remember from when my uncle’s crew put in the central ac and left our basement in an awful mess. Celtic Mama said she was going to tell my uncle but I don’t know if she ever did.

Most females have a movie that they watch when they need a good cry. Until last night mine was Steel Magnolias. Last night Mr. Roboto and I watched The Notebook. It was really, really nice that Mr. Roboto was there to put his arm around me and hold me. I wasn’t bawling but just tears running down my face. Mr. Roboto was very sweet to watch such a “chick flick” with me. It took a while to understand the story, but after you catch on, it is a really good story.

SB and I were out at a buffet tonight, and some sprinkles appeared near my silverware. I asked SB about them and he said that life was better with sprinkles. You know, he is right. Sprinkles make us remember the fun of childhood, and looking at little children who HAVE to have an ice cream cone or doughnut with sprinkles or it isn’t real. It’s along the same lines as goldfish crackers being orange, period. None of this purple or red nonsense.
Maybe we should all keep some sprinkles around…

I feel like I am Punchbuggy tonight. Thankfully not a case of insomnia like it is for him, but ever had a day that was really nice that you just didn’t want it to end? Today was that type of day for me.
First off Mr. Robot came to the door with roses in his hands. Beautiful pinkish purple ones. After finding a vase, we were off for parts semi unknown. Mr. Roboto and I had planned to go to BeachStreet USA tonight but were in Va. Beach alot earlier than BeachSTreet started. He humored me by going to AC Moore, the best craft store around here, first. He even was patient while I decided on yarns that were on sale. We went to the beach, walked a good ways, watched the people go by as we ate what was supposed to be Hawaiian Shave Ices, but Mr. Roboto says that they were not. Posers! From there, we went to Mr. Roboto’s to cool down before dinner. Dinner was later, and really good. If you are near a County Grill, by all means try it! Tasting the different sauces, huge portions and servers that looked like they enjoyed the night made for a great meal. Mr. Roboto and I went back to his house watched a documentary on Bluegrass music. As with my Celtic music, I am finding I like it all, but like the more “modern” bands like Nickel Creek. Alas, after that, Mr. Roboto brought me home as we were both getting tired.
I guess I should go try to get some sleep now. I am up way past my normal bedtime.

I and some others have been teasing a certain blue bunny in the household a bit much lately, and yes she did get on my nerves on Tuesday while I was home sick. BUT, in remembering that all things have feelings, Ms. Bunny’s were hurt. So to the truest, bluest, cutest bunny in the world, I am sorry I hurt your feelings. Please don’t move! We need you : )

I have a blister I don’t know where it came from. I noticed it first when Crash and I were in the pool yesterday. I guess when I was trying to make a key work, it rubbed that side of my finger too hard. Weird
