I?ve been tagged by SB
How this works: Immediately following there is a list of a bunch of different occupations. You must select at least 5 of them (feel free to select more). You may add more if you like to your list before you pass it on (after you select 5 of the items as it was passed to you). Each one begins with ?If I could be?? Of the 5 you selected, you are to finish each phrase with what you would do as a member of that profession.
Once you?re done you get to tag three people you think will actually respond – and would have a good answer. Oh, and by all means, don?t forget to trackback to this post? and to Ogre?s original post so he can keep tracking the progress of his little creation.
If I could be a scientist?
If I could be a farmer?
If I could be a musician?
If I could be a doctor?
If I could be a painter?
If I could be a gardener?
If I could be a missionary?
If I could be a chef?
If I could be an architect?
If I could be a linguist?
If I could be a psychologist?
If I could be a librarian?
If I could be an athlete?
If I could be a lawyer?
If I could be an innkeeper?
If I could be a professor?
If I could be a writer?
If I could be a llama-rider?
If I could be a bonnie pirate?
If I could be a servicemember?
If I could be a photographer?
If I could be a philanthropist?
If I could be a rap artist?
If I could be a child actor?
If I were a chef…I would figure out how to make chocolate desserts that are healthy AND taste good. No scary stuff like carob or pureed beets instead of sugar.
If I were a philanthropist…I would create a place sort what is in the book and movie “First Wives Club”. Somewhere that women who are middle class and through divorce or widowhood lose their incomes find ways to support themselves and their families.
If I were a gardner…I would be able to grow chives and keep oregano alive.
If I were a photographer…I would find stories that do need to be told in 1,000 words. From the family gathered around the dying man (please keep PoloRandy in your thoughts) and their love, to the determination on a girls face as she practices a new gymnastics move.
If I were an innkeeper…I would make you feel like family. I would know the area and be able to recommend all the cool things.
I think I am supposed to link this to places but not sure how to with SB’s new blog.

I am going to following in my blog-father and sister’s steps and just do some whys and just thoughts. It’s about all I have the mental capacity for tonight.
Why do cars always sense when you have extra money?
$5 here and $10 there adds up quickly.
Can’t it get warm and stay warm or get cooler and stay cooler. SB turned off the furnace because it was warm and now it is getting cold at night again. I really want to put away the thermies and such for the year.
I hope that Mr. Bonnie (PoloRandy’s dad) passes peacefully and painlessly.
I hope 37 turns out to be a better year for me in some ways than 36 has.
Why do uniforms make most men look much better than they do in normal clothes?
My mountain of clothes to wash keeps getting bigger and bigger, guess I should really throw them in the washer sometime soon.
Punchbuggy needs to make me another Dragon Tears candle when he starts production again.
I painted my toenails to start wearing open toed shoes and it gets cold so I can’t show off my pretty toes.
Who decided denim pans don’t belong in an office?
Why can’t I be indepently wealthy?
Are trees on strike? The cards I just bought cost $1.99 and up.

This was truly a busy week but a good one. I volunteered with the Virginia International Tattoo. I saw Piper Boy perform for what mostly likely will be one of his last times. He has decided to go into a military service. Right now it is Air Force but that could change this week.
The Tattoo is always good, but this year it was really good, kept a good pace and had some thrilling performers. The motorcycle group from the Berlin Police was awesome. The massed pipers always give me the chills. It was really neat that I saw the performance with WW2 veterans. They are an interesting group of people.
Yesterday, I saw Gym Rat compete. She is doing so well! She is so grown up too. Crash is growing up too. Where does the time go?
Off to a craft show today.
Oh! Wish REvog a Happy Birthday if you get a chance! She and I are the same age for a week.

PoloRandy got a call about 5:30 this morning that his father is back in the hospital. Things don’t look too good, so please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

Today was a great day…sleeping in, laundry while reading the paper, which wound up being a 3 hour tour…(sit right down and you’ll hear a tale, tale of a fateful ship) errr, process. From there, I went to a craft store, came home and made part of REvog’s birthday present, ate dinner and ended the night with Kripy Kremes covered in strawberries and whipped cream AND being able to stare at Matthew McConahey(I think I butchered that).
I needed a day like this before this week which will be busy at work and after work. If you are in the Norfolk area or traveling this way, Piper Boy will be performing in the Virginia International Tattoo. It is a military parade of sorts which is very thrilling to watch. All those men in kilts does my heart a world of good

The final sign of Spring’s arrival came yesterday. Not, daffodils in bloom, not dogwoods in bloom, not cars turning yellow from pollen. The wonderful sounds of youth returned…the ICE CREAM TRUCK! I haven’t bought anything from an ice cream truck in years, but their return each Spring always brings back fond memories. Decisions between orangicles, nutty buddies or the thing with the bubble gum at the bottom of the cone were very hard ones to make. Ahh, the memories.

I watched a movie last night that was excellent. The Discovery Channel had on SuperVolcano. It was almost documentary-ish in it’s style, but was fiction mixed in with real scientific fact. I am a sick person in that I like mass destruction movies. Buildings crumbling fascinates me. This movie not only showed what politicking and lead up to the eruption of the huge volcano under Yellowstone, but the aftermath. Weather patterns were changed, even 500 miles out ash could kill a person as it becomes cement in the lungs, roofs collapsed under the ash’s weight. It took months to get people food and water in damaged areas. Very facinating movie.
It was a very good reminder of with all of our technology, and control, there will be some things, forces of nature, that we will never be able to control or fully predict. The scientists monitoring the volcano could tell it was going to erupt, but not exactly when or how much.
This is kind of along the lines of a Hurricane, as Isabelle showed us, we can know it’s coming but not exactly where, when or for how long.
I guess what I am really trying to say is that we need to treat Mother Nature much better, and have a bigger respect for her than most of the population does now. If we don’t, she WILL remind us she is more powerful than we are.

I have somethings to write about, but have spent the last week fighting the flu. I hate it when you think you are getting better and WHAM it comes back with a vengance. I think I am finally on the road to wellness.

I heartily agree with this article . Basically, there are some pharmacists who think it is their right to not distribute birth control pills as it goes against their morals and religious beleifs.
Ok, some women do sleep with everything that might have a penis, but what about the person like me? I don’t take birth control for the no baby thing (the HP know it has been so long for THAT that I might become a virgin again), I take it for the regulation of my period. Without a pill, my cycles become very irregular. So if my pharmacist won’t give or transfer the prescription, that I go every year to a doctor to get, what am I to do? Suffer? I don’t think so. This happens to me and you can be sure that the pharmacy won’t get anymore of my business AND I will make sure that everyone I know doesn’t go there either. My prescriptions are the same amount whereever I go so no big deal to me.
If it is birth control today, what is tomorrow? All medicines in some form or another could be against someone’s moral code. What happens then?
Another aside to this is if the pharmacist won’t give out birth control, will they give out medicines for erectile dysfunction? After all that only lets men have sex. A man could be sleeping around with using that.
For another take on this, go see what SB has to say.
