I wonder if that is what happens in our bodies when bypass surgery is needed. The HRBT had a water main break that backed up traffice all afternoon for miles. This in turn backed up all the other tunnels that aren’t used to handling that amount of traffic. The Down Town Tunnell was backed up to Brambleton and the Mid-Town was backed up to the Naval base, which is the complete other end of Hampton. Blvd. Good thing I was out recruiting today so I was able to leave the Southside by 4 which meant it only took me an hour plus a little to get home.

I seem to have caught the beal. I have some things building but can’t seem to write about them yet. ONe you all will definitely get a laugh out of. Another is a rant that I am waiting for the problem to be resolved before I talk about it.
Other than that, just another week, same old stuff.
SB did make a really good mashed potato soup tonight.

Dreaming, dreaming at 16. I saw my dream car of that age today. A 1964.5 metalic blue mustang totally refurbished. I still like the car, but havent wanted one since I drove one, drove like a tank.
Other pretty cars were there too. Corvettes, Mustangs and even a restored Mavverick! My grandmother had one that was very low mileage when she sold it.

SilverBlue stole and idea from Dave who stole it from someone else. I am stealing it from SB.
What would I tell myself if I could meet the 25 year old me?
1. Don’t move to New Haven, Conn. Even if it is close to Mystic.
2. DEFINITELY don’t move to Phoenix. Your marriage is basically over before the move.
3. Insist your now ex-husband gets the A/C fixed if you are stupid enough to go to Phoenix.
4. SAVE your money! Put it somewhere you and others can’t get to it easily. You can’t buy a house without some savings.
5. Don’t buy the Kia Sportage no matter how much you like it. High mileage and the vehicle do not get along.
6. Seriously think about moving in with SB when he offers you the opportunity the FIRST time.
7. Get a lawyer for the divorce, don’t let the now ex say we don’t need one since there is nothing to divide.
8. ASk for alimony even though he is unemployed though his own stupid fault.
9. Even though living with Celtic Mama works well, set a time limit on how long you will stay there. Don’t do the when I feel ready thing.
10. Learn to say no a little earlier than your mid-30′s.
11. Don’t resist change as much because it scares you. It is good for you and you never know where it will lead you.

I wouldn’t have been a good use to them. I was supposed to volunteer today for the Neptine Festival at the Oceanfront and I was looking forward to it. I woke up this morning and my sinueses were exploding. I was dizzy when I stood. I sent an email explaining my absence and went back to bed. I feel now. I havent wasted the time, after fully waking up, I started making potholders.
This will be the first time in 7 years that I wont be volunteering for the festival. I wonder if there are any other events taking place later in the year.

I seem to have a yarn addiction lately. I seem to find all these colors I just have to have. Good thing that I am making potholders to see if they sell at something I am doing for Gym Mom.
I bought a new type of yarn last night to make scarves with. It was really hard to work with. I hope to figure it out soon. After next week after potholder production stops for a while.
I need to decide if my grandmother’s knitting needles are going to go into my luggage at Thanksgiving ir if I just want to get some up there. I would be highly upset if anything happened to Grandma’s knitting needles, and since we can’t lock up luggage now, it could get stolen.

I had a fun day after I left work. I went to a craft store that had a really good sale on yarn. Going to a craft store and feeling yarns and matching colors is truly an idea of a good time to me. I know if something doesn’t feel good to me, I am not going to like working with it. For SilverBlue it is going to wander through music stores.
I would have stayed at work later, but I had time to burn and the things I needed to do on the network weren’t workling anyway. Errrg.
Now that I have sat down for the night I am very tired. I hate when that happens.

We had an event tonight. Almost 100 people RSVP’d, 40 showed up. Witha and I went to alot of work to make this a nice event. I had increased our food order somewhat, thank goodness I didn’t go all out on it.
Tired, and, got alot of thoughts running though my head that I need to sort out. Wonder if I can make any money making pot holders. Hmmm…

Our work network was attacked today by a virus. I played way to many games of solitaire waiting for it to come back up. I finally gave up and left at 4:30. Essh. I needed to use the student database to look up somethings on our students for a database that I should have been told about 4 months ago when the request was originally received. Essh.

being married for 72 years? I ask because there was a celebration notice for a couple that had been married that long. Think about what they have been through as a married couple, part of the Great Depression, World War 2, Korean War, Viet Nam, seen autos go from rich only to an almost necessity, man go to the moon, 1 president assinated, one resigned, and one shot. Amazing that 2 people could stick together through all of that.
All I can do is hope for that type of marriage one day.
