I wore pants that fit a little snug today. It really made me remember why I wear dresses and skirts mostly. I normally feel like pants restrict my legs but today it was worse than normal. Skirts and dresses let you have more movement comfortably, at least for me. Revog would definitely disagree with me on that. I guess my big problem is that I don’t feel pants fit me right as I have a tummy. Dresses seem to hide more.
I got a bug bite tonight talking to Celtic Mama. This isn’t rare as the mosquitoes seem to really, really, like me. My legs stay covered in bites. Anti-itch creams are must have for me. The thing about the bug bite tonight is it’s placement. It is right beside my eye. Who other than me gets bug bites on their face? Essh.
At least today was quieter than yesterday at work.

Gaston is paying us a visit right now. We are getting a nice gentle rain at the moment. Hopefully that is all we will get. Supposedly Frances will be paying us a visit this weekend. Going to be alot of fun.
PoloRandy and SilverBlue are cleaning out the basement even more. If it was not used in the past year out it goes. Either to the Church Flea market or into the trash. I sure do hope my Barbies don’t make it in either pile.

Another first week of classes starts tomorrow. I have already had the stupid quesitons start. One lady was in looking for her class on Thursday and was wondering why non one was in the class. Well, since classes don’t start until this week that would be a good reason.
It amazes me the amount of students who don’t look up where their classes are. It is all online and very easy to access. We will get tons of students in tomorrow who need to know where their classes are.

Made it through the day and amazingly enough the only major problem was that I ran out of punch before the second food time. Everything else went off without a flaw. Amazing when things work right.
Not alot else going on, I bought a book today to hopefully teach myself to knit with my grandmother’s needles.

A glass of wine, nice medium rare steak and mashed taters. Just the perfect dinner after another busy day.
Tomorrow’s the long day, a good 12 hours +.

I have alot of different people I talk to over IM througout the day and night. One of these friends is going through a divorce. She has tried every way to be nice and fair to her soon to be ex. He keeps hemming and hawing over details that were already decided in another document. The more time he does this the less and less my friend wants to be fair. Her theory is quickly becoming get it all written out up front so she knows what she has to do to support the kids.
Another person I know seems to keep saying things to people he knows that talk to each other that could keep him from getting a raise if he decides to ask for it. Everyone dislikes their jobs in some ways but telling people how much you don’t like it to people who could have a part in the decision making process is not a good idea.
I guess the moral of this entry is to think before you open your mouth or change your mind (yes this from the High Queen of Wafflers), it could land you in a deeper well than you are prepared for.

I really don’t have alot going on other than work right now. Work is sapping all of my energy right now and I promised myself not to talk about it anymore on teh blog. So not alot to say right now. I haven’t even been up on the news right now so I cant even comment on world events.

I don’t know what to do about it and am going to be very disappointed when it ends. I can’t seem to get enough of the Olympics this time. I am watching it at night and looking on the web for results when I should be working at a frentic pace. I am just finding it fascinating that medals can be won or lost by thousandths of a point now. I also wonder about kids like Carly Patterson and some of the swimmers, who at 16 or so, have reached the highest point they can in their sport. What do they do now? I had the same question about Tara Lipinski in Ice Skating a while ago.

I went down to Nags head today to see a long time friend of mine. I had truly forgotten how nice it was to just be somewhere, with sort of a plan but if it doesn’t happen oh well. It was nice to sit and talk, watch her kids play in the water, sit on the sand bar and watch the waves roll in. I think we all need a week like that somewhere. No schedules, no emails, yes you can watch tv, but time to get away and not have something planned for every minute of every day.
Nags Head is more my type of beach than Virginia Beach. It is alot less commercial and you can leave a kayak and chairs out all day unattended and no one will take them. There are also places to be in the water with out having to worry about the waves catching you in an undertow.
The other part of today, that seems to have come home to roost for me lately, is that I am glad I made the time to go see my friend. Yes, it isn’t quite a good time to take a day off of work at the moment, but sometimes personal life has to come first. We need to make time for family and friends, to keep connected with them. Friendship is a relationship, and all relationships take work, be it a work, home, or with a Higher Power.
